CREST Awards Resources for Teachers
The British Science Association has released new CREST Awards Discovery and Bronze resources featuring members of, and created in collaboration with, the Air Safety research team. These materials support classroom learning and introduce students to how research begins, how teams work together, and how engineering and public health research address real‑world challenges.
These resources are designed for teachers delivering:
Discovery Award (5 hours) – typically for students aged 10–14
Bronze Award (10 hours) – typically for students aged 11+
They have been shared with educators through the BSA’s Engage Teacher Network and will be part of a wider national promotion in September.

About Our Collaboration
AIR Safety is working with the British Science Association to support the development and delivery of CREST Awards resources. This collaboration aims to help teachers introduce students to scientific thinking, engineering challenges, and real‑world research questions.
We will continue coordinating with the BSA and UCL teams to support the September promotional campaign.
